Long time dreamer to own a vintage 911. Owned a 914 Widebody for a while about 35 years ago.
When I was 18 years old, I owned a 1964 Corvette coupe. While living in Florida, and cruising the strip in Ft Lauderdale, I was lucky enough to meet up with the guy who owned the black Lamborghini that was in the Cannonball Run. Got to sit in it on the strip while it was running. The owner, who turned out to be Ron Rice, the founder of Hawaiian Tropic, told me during our conversation that I “should get rid of that plastic fantastic, and buy a real driver’s car like a 911”. I’ve been waiting for that car ever since…
While looking for my upcoming retirement gift for myself, I came across Zeus, a ’80 911SC Hotrod.
This car pretty much checked all the boxes I was looking for!
Looking forward to getting out in it for some shows, cars & coffee, etc over the upcoming summers!!
