My first PCA region in 1967 was Golden Gate Region in California. My husband, Rick, and I joined PCA while Rick was a doctoral student at Stanford University. Our next region was Northern New Jersey Region (NNJR) in 1969 where I am still a dual member with Down East Region. I have many happy memories from the events and getting together with other members of NNJR. My main love for PCA events is driving on race tracks. My first track event was in California at Cotati Speedway in 1968. I was hooked! I’ve driven race tracks in New Jersey, Canada, Minnesota, Ohio, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Hampshire and loved every minute. My kids, Scott and Kristin, grew up going to track events. Both Scott and Kristin are PCA members and certified PCA track instructors. I became an instructor in 1974 and one of the NNJR Chief Instructors in 1980. In 2008, Rick and I retired to our home in Maine and joined Down East Region. I’ve stopped driving on the race track. My Porsche love is now a 2015 Macan S, and it is the best daily driver I’ve ever had. My best friend, Rick, passed away in 2016. Being a member of PCA — NNJR and DER — has been a huge part of my life, participating in region activities. I love my PCA friends who are in several regions across the country.
