The Autorama’s at Dinner Key Auditorium, in Miami were some of my earliest childhood memories as family events go, included in those memories are recollections of car club rallies, picnics, and timed events. My sister and I grew up in the tiny bucket seats of an Austin Healy 3000, then there was the MG Magnet, which was much larger. Having had the residual rub off on me, I am happy to say nothing had been lost on me as I have always had a love affair with sports cars. My first real sports car was a Nissan 300 ZX. While looking for an SUV, I spotted a Porsche for sale in the classified section and decided to take a leisurely Sunday drive to have a look see, to make a long story short, I knew the car was mine the moment I laid eyes on this sweet little 911, end of story, I have had it since that day, no regrets. I have considered a newer model but can get past the iconic, instantly recognizable body style.
