Grew up always loving and wanting a porsche 911. My first fun car was a new 16 v gti 1987 which I modified significantly with neuspeed suspension products. This was my first “ sports car” fun to drive. I moved onto audi 2.7 Turbo and BMW 3 series but finally bought my first porsche in 2009 ish and was a practical cayenne Turbo. Loved this vehicle and actually totaled this car but barely a scratch on me. I went onto two more turbos cayennes and finally bought a 1998 triple black cab with only 8k miles. Great car that I made huge mistake selling after few years but ordered a new first gen Pana GTS. This was one of my most favorite cars I’ve ever owned; fast, loud v8 and handled amazing. After selling to buy cars for kids and driving a audi sq5, I ordered a new Macan Turbo with the 40 additional hp performance package. This is still my DD and honestly awesome , fast and practical car. I needed to get back into another 911 so I researched older models and went for my college grad year 3.2 1988 911. This car had two owners and only 62k miles but needed some refreshing from suspension and brakes standpoint. The engine had just been pulled to update everything. This I find more fun than my 1998 as the driving experience with no power steering or abs is just plain fun. My family lives on the Boston north Shore but we own a second home in kennebunkport where we spend every weekend in summer and fall. I’ve attended the Porsches in the park every year and decided I wanted to set my PCA site membership in Maine. Hope to meet more local members.
