After meeting at Wal-Mart in Falmouth,
awaiting a few “lost” sheep, the 2004 German Tour was on its way shortly
after 3:00 pm. Tour goers came from miles around: Belfast, Searsport,
Lewiston, Sanford and Kennebunk (with a few locals from Yarmouth and
Falmouth as well). Click

Not 5 minutes into the tour we looked into the rear view mirror and
there were no Porsches to be found! A 911 down – but not out when
there are many heads to put together! After a short discussion, some
checking under all hoods, and a little wiggling of the fuses, all
was well and we were off again.
This was a perfect day for motoring north along the coast to the tip
of Bailey island. Outstanding views included the start of the
Southern Maine Foliage turn with scenic inlet vistas on either side
of the cars with the sun shimmering on each and every bay. We were
even treated to views of the hardworking lobstermen as we meandered
on our way.
We reached our final destination just shortly after 5:00 pm. A
delicious German repast was had by all.
