Minutes
approved as written
1.
Discussion
of whether BOD would like to have minutes posted on web.
Request to receive minutes of previous meeting sooner for
opportunity to review. Procedure:
Send minutes to all board members.
Don will receive additions, deletions or corrections.
Following reasonable time, Don will forward to Linc for posting
to webpage. Plan approved.
2. Discussion of further items to post to webpage:
Our calendar. Also,
Linc will consider setting up a track page with a window that can be
updated showing track events members plan to attend.
Brian volunteered to update the calendar of track event plans.
Rod has put together a track schedule with all but Rennsport
Region and NER events (not published yet) which will be discussed
following BOD meeting if time.
3. Banquet planning:
Brian has met with Portland Country Club AV rep.
They rent equipment. The
cost is quite high. They do
not have a policy barring us from bringing our own AV equipment.
That it what we will plan to do.
Our buffet menu selection works out to $28.58 per person.
We will add to that a minimum of $50.00 for cash bar, and $275 for
appetizers. We will have a
private room with oval tables that each seat 8.
Bar opens at 6:00. Dinner served at 7:00.
A $250 deposit is required. Don
will do invitations and RSVP cards. Drop
dead date for RSVP March 2. Don
will provide door prizes and tickets.
Door prizes will include $100 gift certificate from Zone 1.
Don agreed to contact TireRack to inquire about a set of tires for
a door prize. There is, after
all, no harm in asking.
Entertainment:
Rolling slide show of all (good) pictures taken this last year.
Rolling track video. Russ
has learned that Dan Kary is not available on March 9.
Need to find another speaker.
Suggest Pete Tremper if he is available and interested.
Other suggestion was Jeff who is the manager of Bob Behr’s auto
museum. He has some great
stories.
4. Other
business:
Our slate of officers has been forwarded to National, as have our
annual reporting forms. Our
calendar for 2001 (as much as has been completed to date) was circulated
and approved. It will be
posted to our webpage.
Meeting
adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
