DER PCA had another great turnout at this year’s spring
banquet with nearly 60 members and guests in attendance at the Marriott at Sable
Oaks. DER PCA new President, Glenn Hill acted as the Master of Ceremonies
welcoming all members and highlighting this years upcoming events.
Glenn thanked outgoing president, Don McGilvery, who
has done a tremendous job as president of our club for the last several years.
Terri Omatick and Steve Atwell gave a short
presentation showcasing this year’s Zone 1 PCA Concours/Rally in Saratoga, New
York and discussing DER PCA’s preliminary plans for hosting the 2005 event in
Portland.
Glenn also announced this year's DER Member-of-the
Year, Jerry Giordano (who was away in Europe). Jerry is not a club officer, but
he has attended most of the Board of Director’s meetings in 2003 and
participates actively in the organization of events. Currently, Jerry is
organizing this summer’s “Show & Shine”
on Mackworth Island to benefit Governor Baxter School for the Deaf (see
writeup elsewhere).
