September 6th Breakfast/Croquet
Our September breakfast will be held on Saturday, the 6th, at Toddy Brook Golf Club, 925 Sligo Road, North Yarmouth, at 9:00AM.
829-5100. We're returning to one of our favorite breakfast spots and definitely the most scenic.
You won't want to miss this one because right after breakfast we'll be heading over to Ellen and Bob Snyders' house for a "bit of croquet" on their beautifully maintained croquet court. It's about a 15 minute ride to 447 Princes Point Road, off Rt. 88 in Yarmouth.
This will be one of those Saturdays we'll all look back on when the chill sets in and say "wow"
Owls Head Museum Saturday/Sunday,
September 13th & 14th
Room Reservation Deadline
Extended Until September 5th
If you've not sent Larry Cachia an email saying you're coming, please do so no later than September 8th. lcachia@roadrunner .com
The Owls Head Museum has selected Porsche to be the featured marque at the Foreign Car Show the weekend of September 13 & 14 2014. This is a big honor for the Down East Region.
For the past 2 years, the Down East Region has been well represented at this event with 34 Porsches present on the first day of the 2-day event. Since Porsche is the featued marque, we will need to be there both Saturday and Sunday. As in the past, we will be caravanning from Yarmouth to the Museum on Saturday morning. You can either meet us along the way or meet the group at the Museum. Admission is free for your Porsche, driver and passenger.
Some of us will be staying over Saturday night. We are in the process of putting together an agenda for those who wish to spend the night in the area. Depending on how many of us will be staying, we will see if we can get reduced room rates. We'll also plan a dinner for Saturday evening and a driving tour of the area after the show closes on Saturday.
We will be inviting other Zone 1 Regions and want to make sure the Down East Region is well represented. Let's show the Owls Head Museum that Porsche is well represented in Maine and deserves the recognition as the featured marque.

DERPCA is planning a Habitat For Humanity day. We will be teaming up with Habitat For Humanity to help build a home. The home we will be working on is in the Freeport area. Given the time of year we will be working indoors. No skills are needed; and all tools will be provided. More information to follow. We hope you can join us.
